Read the explanation

7.4 or 22 kW wallbox? At Charge Factory we help you choose without complications. Don't choose just by the number: check your installation and the load capacity of your car. The 7.4 kW Pulsar Max is designed for a single-phase installation, common in many homes. To reach 22 kW you need a three-phase installation and a car that accepts that power in alternating current. If the car supports less, the charging power will be limited: choosing the highest power charger does not mean that you will charge faster. Before purchasing, confirm this information with a professional installer. To check which charger your car can use, go to the Charge Factory tool. Select make, model and year. Both models include a five-meter Type 2 cable. Installation is not included in the purchase of the equipment. Consult the two sheets on chargefactory.es, compare the characteristics and choose the right model for your home.

Are you looking for a car battery charger? For an electric vehicle, you need a charging point compatible with its traction battery and charging port. A 12 V battery charger or maintainer has a different function. In this guide, we compare two home electric car chargers: the 7.4 kW and 22 kW Wallbox Pulsar Max.

Choosing between a 7.4 kW and a 22 kW Wallbox Pulsar Max depends mainly on your electrical installation and the AC charging power your car supports. The higher figure does not guarantee faster charging in all homes.

When to choose the 7.4 kW model

If your home has a single-phase supply, the Wallbox Pulsar Max 7.4 kW is the option designed for this type of installation. Before buying, confirm the available power, necessary protections, and compatibility with your vehicle with an authorised installer.

When is the 22 kW model worth it

The Wallbox Pulsar Max 22 kW can reach its rated power when the grid is three-phase, the installation and available power allow it, and the vehicle's onboard charger accepts 22 kW AC. In a single-phase installation, it can operate at approximately 7.4 kW, depending on the configuration. Buying the 22 kW model does not remove the limitations of the car or the electrical supply.

What both models have in common

Both chargers are black, compact, and feature a 5-metre fixed Type 2 cable, WiFi, Bluetooth, and control via the Wallbox app. They have IP55 and IK10 protection. Features such as Power Boost and Eco-Smart require a compatible Wallbox meter sold separately. The installation, external protections, and additional accessories are not included in the equipment price.

Buy the right power

Check your home's supply type, the AC charging power supported by your vehicle, and the contracted power. Then, check the shipping terms and buy directly from the product page of the model that suits you. Both are sold with VAT included. Standard shipping costs €5.40 and is free for orders over €300; express shipping costs €8.20 to eligible Spanish destinations at checkout. The estimated total time is 2–4 business days for standard and 2–3 for express, including preparation.
